“You will never be locked out of Goshen,” were a few of the kind words spoken by Goshen’s mayor Allan Kauffman at the Goshen City Council meeting. I was presented with a key to the city and a Proclamation from the Mayor and City Council members. It was an immense honor that I was thrilled to share with my parents and my Grandmother. I so appreciate all of the support from my hometown and cannot wait to represent Goshen at Miss America.
Later that week I was an honored guest at the Miss Bristol Homecoming Pageant. This local festival pageant featured young women from Bristol competing to serve their community though this title. I had a wonderful time with Mekayla Diehl, Miss Elkhart County, and Gracie Lyons, Miss Kankakee Valley.
